Election day: Have you turned in your ballot yet? If not, you can drop it off before 4 p.m. today. There are a few local races worth highlighting. County residents are voting on a change to the Home Rule charter that would move the treasurer and auditor positions from elected to appointed, among other changes.

Schools: What would any recent election around here be without a few school-related votes? In Williams County Public School District No. 8, incumbent Dawn Hollingsworth is facing challenger John Kasmer. In District 1, none of the school board seats are contested, but voters will weigh in on a bond referendum. We will have results from all the races this evening.
